FABRICS
We suggest gently vacuuming velvet upholstery with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and lint while preserving the pile’s structure. When vacuuming or brushing, always follow the direction of the pile (the way the velvet fibres lay) to avoid crushing or damaging the fabric.
To protect your velvet upholstery, we recommend using a fabric protector specifically designed for velvet. This adds an extra layer of defence against spills and stains, helping to maintain the fabric.
For spillages and stains, start by blotting the area with a clean, dry cloth. Then, gently dab the stain with a cloth and a mild upholstery cleaner. Test the cleaner on a hidden area first and let the fabric air dry. Afterward, gently brush the velvet in the direction of the pile to restore its texture.
To prevent fading, Keep your velvet sofa out of direct sunlight and away from heaters. Avoid using soaps, chemicals and detergents not specifically intended for furniture fabric.
For crush marks, lightly mist the area with water and use a gentle clothes steamer on lowest heat setting over the marks and allowing it to air dry. Do not use an iron, as it may damage the fabric.
WOOD/VENEER
We recommend keeping out of the way of direct sunlight to avoid any fading.
If glassware is to be used on the surface, ensure you do not leave a ring of water and utilise a coaster.
Remove any spills immediately to avoid any water damage to the surface.
Dust regularly and wipe with a dry microfibre cloth and avoid any harsh chemicals. If necessary, a small amount of mild soap is recommended.
METALLIC FINISHES
Regularly clean polished stainless steel and metal finishes using a feather duster or a soft, clean cloth. For stubborn stains, use lukewarm water or a gentle household cleaner. Avoid using hot water and harsh chemicals.
MARBLE FINISHES
Marble stains quickly, so promptly clean up any spills that may have occurred. For cleaning, use the mildest approach possible—avoid abrasive cleaners. Regularly wipe the marble with a cloth moistened with lukewarm water and, if necessary, a small amount of mild dish soap.
Avoid exposing marble or travertine furniture to sharp objects that could scratch the limestone surface. Additionally, do not use vinegar, ammonia, bleach, or acidic substances as this can corrode travertine and marble.
